About Sarah Remmer


As a Mom, Registered Dietitian, Registered Nutritionist, and “fooditarian”, I have a passion for good food (the real kind) and living a healthy balanced lifestyle, realistically. I created this website to share this passion, and  to teach Moms not only what to eat and feed their families, but also how to eat and feed their families. The way we feed our babies, toddlers and children now will affect their relationship with food and overall health for the rest of their lives.

My “Nutrition From Stork To Fork” Blog was named one of Babble’s Top 20 Pregnancy blogs in 2012 and one of The Institute of Psychology Of Eating’s top 40 nutrition blogs of 2012.

I consider my best credential being a Mom, but for those of you who would like to know what my “hard” credentials are…

  • I have a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences and I am a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Alberta and Dietitians of Canada.
  • I am a Certified Diabetes Educator through the Canadian Diabetes Association.
  • I am a freelance nutrition writer and nutrition expert and blogger at Erica Ehm’s Yummy Mummy Club and appear in the media regularly as a nutrition expert. I also work as a “Food Industry” consultant to the Food Industry.
  • The areas that I specialize in are pre-natal/postnatal/child nutrition, fertility, healthy weight loss, picky eating, and Eating Disorders/disordered eating issues.

With my strong background in nutrition science and almost a decade of nutrition counselling experience, I’m thrilled to share my passion with you through this website, and  to translate the complex science of nutrition into practical, realistic tips and tools for Moms and their families.
