As a Mom of two, Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, I have a passion for good food, and teaching parents how to healthfully (and realistically!) feed their families. 

I created this blog to share ideas, advice and easy recipes with parents, who, like me, are navigating the fun and challenging world of feeding kids. You’ll find that my blog posts cover a wide range of topics from “nutrition for a healthy pregnancy” to “feeding a picky eater” and beyond. I want parents to feel at home here. I know first hand what it’s like to be in the trenches, so this is a judgement-free, imperfect and fun blog for REAL parents who are seeking practical tips and resources on how to feed their kids and help them grow a healthy relationship with food for life. 

My “Nutrition From Stork To Fork” Blog was named one of Babble’s Top 20 Pregnancy blogs in 2012 and one of The Institute of Psychology Of Eating’s top 40 nutrition blogs of 2012. I’m a member of the Nutrition Blog Network as well as Dietitians of Canada Member Blogs Network

I consider my best credential being a Mom, but for those of you who would like to know what my “hard” credentials are…

  • I have a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences and I am a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Alberta and Dietitians of Canada. I’m also the co-chair of the Dietitians of Canada Media Network. 
  • I am a freelance nutrition writer and nutrition expert and blogger at Erica Ehm’s Yummy Mummy Club and appear in the media regularly as a nutrition expert. You can also find my writing over at Today’s Parent Magazine, Metro Newspaper Toronto, Alberta Milk’s More About Milk blog and more. 
  • The areas that I specialize in are pre-natal/postnatal/child nutrition, fertility, healthy weight loss, picky eating, and Eating Disorders/disordered eating issues.

With my strong background in nutrition science and almost a decade of nutrition counselling experience, I’m thrilled to share my passion with you through this website, and  to translate the complex science of nutrition into practical, realistic tips and tools for families.
