This easy, kid-friendly, snack-worthy cookie will soon become a staple in your house! *This recipe was developed in partnership with my friends at Made with Local.
What’s better than a delicious chocolate chip cookie that is so nutritious that it can pass off as a snack?! Not much! My kids and I had so much fun developing this recipe, and these cookies have now become a go-to in my house. What I love about them is that you can make them in one bowl, AND there are only 7 ingredients!
It’s always nice to have things like cookies, energy balls and homemade granola bars on hand – especially ones that are nutritious and filling and that you can feel good about serving your kids. As a dietitian, I love that these cookies provide nutrients like fibre, protein, healthy fats and vitamins and minerals. Pair one with apple slices or berries and you’ve got a great mid-day snack!
We used Made with Local’s new granola bar mix, which in and of itself has become a pantry staple. It saves me so much time but makes me feel as though I’ve made something from scratch (with a bit of help). You can find this mix on MWL’s online shop (use code sarah20 to get 20% off your entire order) or you can find the mix at Real Canadian Superstore!
