We have all of the tools that you need to confidently feed your family and we can’t wait to share them with you. I know that you’re struggling–you’re in the right place! We’d love to help, and we’re SO excited to work with you and your family.
– Sarah Remmer, RD, Mom of 3 and Founder of the Centre for Family Nutrition
Each nutrition counselling package includes the following:
- Support: One-on-one support from your own personal Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist.
- Initial Consultation: One 60-minute initial consultation done virtually over Zoom, with your dietitian, where they will review in detail your (or your child’s) health history questionnaire, gather any other pertinent information that they need to best guide you, and dive in! Your dietitian will guide you on how to make some initial positive changes by setting some realistic goals to work on, offering practical tips, strategies and resources.
- Follow-up sessions: You are welcome to arrange with your dietitian to have follow-up sessions of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on your liking and length of package. We like to offer the option of breaking follow-up hours up into smaller chunks so that you can have shorter (and more!) touch-points.
- Light e-mail support in between appointments to answer any questions.
- Digital Tools: Digital and print access to handouts, resources, recipes and tools for meal planning, portions, grocery shopping and staying on track every day.

Many people have coverage for Registered Dietitians. Most group insurance plans including Manulife, Blue Cross, Sunlife, GreatWest Life, Green Shield and more will cover up to $500 for dietitian services. At this time, we do not direct bill, but we can provide you with an invoice after your session that you can submit directly to your insurance company. It may be worth checking with your workplace benefit plan to see if you qualify! If you do not have coverage, the cost of your appointments are considered a tax-deductible medical expense that you can claim.
