When I first tasted a variation of these truffles at my friends house (we have an annual Christmas family get-together), I melted into my seat.
It was one of the best holiday treats I had ever tasted.
And when my friend told me what the ingredients and instructions were, I was stunned. So simple and SO delicious.
These little truffles are decadent and taste like the best piece of cheesecake you’ve ever had–covered in chocolate. Need I say more?
My favourite is the Oreo variety, but the other two are also to-die-for. If I were to make the mint ones again, I would probably try mint cookies (maybe those mint chocolate girl guide cookies) instead of after-eight mints (they made a delicious truffle, but the consistency was a bit hard to work with). Worth the effort, however.
I’m not going to talk about nutrition, because–well–these aren’t really nutritious. And that’s ok — it’s the holidays! They’re delicious and will make you and your family/friends/guests melt into their seats with delight. And that’s all that matters in my mind.
